League of Legends treats their player base with consistent updates to shake up the meta. The previous patch, 13.15, brought some of the biggest changes the MOBA had ever seen, including a new champion, a new 2v2v2 Arena game mode, and the Soul Fighter mini-game.
The upcoming patch 13.16 pales in comparison, bringing smaller-scale champion tweaks like more Caitlyn buffs and subtle item changes as Riot Games prepares for the exciting LoL Worlds championship in South Korea later this year.
There will also be seven skins for players to get their hands on, with the Immortal Journey skinline. Get ready to open your wallets and dive into Summoner's Rift - here are all the changes coming to the next League of Legends patch 13.16!
According to Riot Games' official patch schedule, the League of Legends patch 13.16 will go live on August 16, 2023.
The patch will be rolled out across the day according to all major league servers' time zones, beginning with the Oceanic servers. Here are all the critical patch rollout times for all major LoL servers worldwide.
As with all new patch releases, there will be several hours of server downtime as the patch is rolled out. Matchmaking and competitive queues will be disabled before the new patch is made fully live.
While no official buffs or nerfs have been revealed yet, some fundamental changes are happening as Riot Games look to guide the meta in a different direction in preparation for professional League of Legends matches, like LoL Worlds 2023.
Despite Riot's promises not to nerf popular champions immediately, new champion Naafiri is getting yet another nerf in LoL patch 13.16 to shake up the meta and promote other Mid Lane picks. Other changes include Lethality items, as Duskblade of Draktharr is the next item on Riot Games' hit list, while less popular Lethality items get a much-needed buff.
Like most new patches, Riot Games offices have treated players to seven new amazing LoL skins to open their wallets for, with the new Immortal Journey skins! Soraka is getting her third legendary skin with Soraka Immortal Journey, while Zed Immortal Journey looks far removed from his cold-blooded assassin exterior.
While we currently have little specific info on all the new changes coming to LoL patch 13.16, we know which ten champions will be getting buffed and which five will be getting nerfs.
Check back in the coming days as more of the early LoL patch 13.16 notes are revealed. So far, only Milio's new buffs have been confirmed, with changes coming to his Q and E abilities.

There aren't too many nerfs hitting players in the next Lol patch, with Shaco's Support build estimated to get a massive hit. Naafiri will also receive nerfs due to her high pick rates dominating the meta.
Queen's Wrath/Pray Seeker (Q)
Jack in the Box (W)
Burnout (W)
In these League of Legends patch notes, there are no changes to any in-game systems or Summoner Spells. However, some items are going to be changed. In particular, Duskblade of Draktharr will be nerfed as players complained that its power slowly began bleeding into unexpected places, with off-meta champions like Aatrox taking this item as part of their builds.
Here are all the items that will be tweaked moving forward into LoL 13.16.
Some changes to the Surrender system will be hitting the PBE shortly, making "surrendering more of a team action, rather than one persom spamming FF every three minutes," according to Chris "RiotAuberaun" Roberts.
These system changes include:
It will be interesting to see how the Surrender vote changes impacts games when this new update comes out. Hopefully it will lead to less toxic games and less people spamming the FF button as soon as it becomes available. This looks to be a fun and interesting patch, as Lethality items are tweaked and some assassin heroes are changed.
